New Ribbon Bundles & FREE Designer Papers

I am a bit of a ribbon fanatic and I guess it's because I'm a tactile person. On cards and scrapbook pages, to me the finished item comes to life no matter how small that piece of ribbon or embellishment is. Daft I know but if there's no dimension it can look a bit flat and, dare I say it, boring? The only exception of course is Clean & Simple cards. Even then I manage to get a bit of dimension on there somewhere.

Anyway, I digress. With so many wonderful, gorgeous, luscious ribbons in the current catalogue it can be a bit overwhelming which ones to have, especially when there's 91 different rolls to choose from...eeek! So, to share the love of these gorgeous ribbons I've a few bundles you might be interested in that will help with your budget and are real value for money.

So, I've lined up 3 different bundles with all the colours from each style. You will receive just over 1m of each colour in that particular style and because it's SALE-A-BRATION you'll also receive 6, 6x6 sheets of the Everyday Enchantment paper with each bundle.

Simply Adorned

Have you seen the Simply Adorned Jewellery Range in the NEW Spring Mini?

I do like my jewellery but it tends to be the more expensive pieces that I wear for sentimental value. My MIL works in a jewellery shop and hubs is very good at choosing what I would like, so I don't really have much costume jewellery.

Anyway, I did buy the Simply Adorned Necklace, Large Charm and the Pink Crystal Bauble to see what they were like and I have to say I'm very impressed.

The idea is that the charms are easily opened like a locket and you can add your own piece of artwork/photo. When you get bored or want to change the insert to perhaps match a different outfit, you can. Such a simple concept and I absolutely love mine!

I've used 'Charming' to make this very simple insert which took me just a few minutes, if that. Tie a small piece of co-ordinating ribbon at the base of the chain, attach a bauble (missing from these photos) plus a Trinket Key and Bob's your Uncle, it's done! As you can see the front side has a bevelled window pane and the reverse is clear glass so your artwork can be decorated on both sides. There's room for a few crystals inside too

I went to see my Mum this aftie and she really liked mine. Good job too as it's Mother's Day in 4 weeks time!

Happy Valentines Day

Did you get a Valentine's card today? I didn't but I know my hubs loves me loads anyway. I would never complain I didn't get anything because when he does send a card he really puts a lot of thought into the one he chooses. The words are always appropriate and he never fails to melt my heart. The same with pressies - his choice in jewellery for me is amazing. He even chose my engagement and eternity ring for me which I couldn't of chosen better myself.

Despite not getting a card (I may still get one later) I did make a special one for him. Nothing too slushy though just a simple black and red card with embossing to give a touch of class.
The swirl is from Everything Eleanor and it's heat embossed onto black card with black embossing powder. The heart I cut freehand and then used the Dotted Scallop punch to create a decorative edge around the heart. A sparing couple of pieces of the twinkling red glitter paper finished the card off perfectly with some matching real red satin ribbon.
Hubs loved his card and that's what's great about crafting. It was a handmade Birthday card that first got me hooked onto this amazing hobby and the fact it was specially made just for me made it extra special.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Fresh Vintage Class

For this weeks class we used the Fresh Vintage stamp set with Everyday Enchantment DSP.

The first card again was inspired from the one shown in the Sale-a-bration brochure. It works so well, especially with the clear embossing on the butterfly.
Loving this next design so much. Simple but effective.
And another box with lid made with the Mini Milk Carton Big Shot Die. This die is absolutely brill and an exclusive to Stampin' Up!

Sale-a-bration runs until 31st March. With every £45 order you qualify for a FREE item from the Sale-a-bration brochure.

We all love freebies now don't we?

To my BFF

It's my BFF's Birthday today. Karen and I have known each other since my early twenties and over the years she's been a tower of strength to me. Through my ups and downs (and there's been quite a few) she's never judged me but always supported me and I wouldn't be the person I am today without her.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAREN!

You are the best!

Petal Cone Valentine Heart

It's been another busy week after the Party Plan Conference, catching up on a ton of paperwork which I hate but it had to be done. And now we're in February with just over a week till Valentine's day! Where is this year going?

So with Valentines in mind I've made this Heart pouch with the Petal Cone Die along with the lushest of lush, Red Glitter Paper.
There was a sample on the board at Convention very similar to this which was beautiful.

The papers are from Timeless Portrait and the Brights Paper Stack.

Inside is a little bag of chocolate hearts....aaaah bless. Hubs doesn't really do chocolate but it's the thought that counts.....right?

Fresh Vintage and a bit of a sneak peak

On the inside pages of the Sale-a-bration brochure there's a beautiful example of how the Fresh Vintage stamp set and Everyday Enchantment papers can be used. We all like to re-create something we've seen, me included, so over the Christmas hols I had a go.

I've developed this further on the inside and it's actually turned into a prototype for one of the classes at the Stampin' Angels Retreat in May. I can't show you the inside although I'd love to but for those of you who are coming, it's a bit of a sneak peek and you're going to love it!

I'll be using different papers & Stamp Set for the Retreat class as Sale-a-bration ends on 31st March so if you like the above, get it while you can.

During Sale-a-bration choose one item FREE from the Sale-a-bration brochure for every £45 order placed.

Fresh Vintage '3 for 1'

I tend to get a little overwhelmed when we get a new catalogue with lots of new stamps & accessories. I LOVE IT ALL and WANT IT ALL but when I have it in my mitts I just don't know what to use first and I end up going back to my old faithful stamp sets that I know I can use over and over. So it takes me a little more time to mull over the new before my creative juices kick in and I can start using it.

I loved the Sale-a-bration set Fresh Vintage  the moment I saw it at Convention back in November, and even though I orderd it on pre-order in December it hadn't quite made a permanent spot on my craft desk. Until now that is....
I've referred to this as a '3 for 1' in the title because it's the same card but done 3 times by adding 1, 2 then  3 colours.

This first one is with just Pool Party - very monochromatic.
Out of the New 2011-2013 In Colours Island Indigo is one I've not used before. Not sure why, it's very much like 'Taken with Teal' which has now retired and I loved that, but now I've teamed it with Pool Party I really like it.
And the last card I added Lucky Limeade. I've coloured the stamp with Stampin' Write Markers to give that 2-colour effect on the image.
And finally here's a picture of my pretty little stand that I bought on Saturday. Isn't it cute?!
So that's me for today. I'm 'trying' to have a marathon clean and tidy of my craft room. Don't think I'll finish that today!

See ya soon!
