SWU 'Recipe' Challenge

Well another week has gone by and there's another challenge up today from Stamp With Us. This week it's a recipe challenge...1 patterned paper, 2 ribbons, 1 flower & 1 button.
I'm liking the colour yellow at the moment..well Barely Banana that is, and because it's a pastely colour (is that a word??) I decided to make a baby card.
Recipe:
Stamps: Wild About You/Seeing Spots/Congrats (SAB set)
Ink & Cardstock: Bashful Blue/Barely Banana/Basic Grey
Ribbon: Bashful Blue Stitched Grosgrain/Whisper White Taffeta
Patterend Paper: Cutie Pie
Half term for Jake this week and weather permitting we're away for a few days. I'm desperatley trying to find time to make and show more creations so please don't desert me just yet, I hope to be back asap with more for you to see.
For now have a great holiday weekend and see you soon!
Jo :)

SWU 'Colour' Challenge

This weeks challenge for Stamp With Us is Colour, my favourite of all challenges. Colour is definately my inspiration for anything I make whether it be on a card, 3D project or scrapbook page. If the colours are pleasing on the eye, the rest is easy. So this was the inspiration.... ...and this is my interpretation....Tfl and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Jo :)

Another Passion

I've been missing 'out of action' this week (poorly) and I've no SU! eye candy to show. Instead I have a card made with a stamp set from another passion I have....Papertrey Ink. I made this last weekend with the the 'Wishing You' stamp set that I've had for at least a month and not even opened - shame on me. In my defence I have looked at them over and over and that's got to be as good as using them right? Anyway last Sunday was the day I got round to actually using them.
Sunday morning I grabbed a load of stash as we were out on the boat for the day and I thought I'd picked everything up. It wasn't until I was about to start stamping I realised I'd forgotten the clear blocks to put the stamps on. Ha! Not alot you can do when your're bobbing around on the water so I improvised using the cd case they come in - it wasn't the best but it just about did the job.
Love this set and would love to buy more. Hmmmm....must remember to do the lottery this weekend especially as it's release night tonight at PTI and I'm really trying to stop myself looking.........oh no! I've gone and looked... *rolleyes*
tfl,
Jo :)
Recipe:
Stamps - Papertrey Ink 'Wishing You'
Ink & C/S - SU! Real Red, YoYo Yellow, Green Galore, Whisper White & Basic Black
Other - SU! Real Red Brad, Doodlebug Paper Frills and Ribbon unknown.

SWU 'Theme' Challenge

It's a little later than I had planned but here's my DT entry for the Stamp With Us challenge. This week the theme is 'Thanks'. I have to confess that this was the second card I made, the first I wasn't at all happy with but this one I like. The Stamp set is Petal Pizzazz and I've cut the flowers out and 3D'd them over the Sweet Always Designer Papers. Grey seems to have become the new black, like brown was, and the Grey Taffeta Ribbon is so gorgeous I had to add it to the card... it's almost silver like and not too overpowering either. I've always had a thing about gems and pearls so to finish it off I added some scrummy Basic Grey Opaline half pearls in grey - I love 'em. If you hop over to SWU please take a look at all the FABULOUS offerings the other team members have created, they are ALL gorgeous! And please join in with the challenge with the help of Mr Linky so we can see your creations. Tfl, Jo :)

This Monster Rocks...

I'm still here! I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, it's just been one manic week! I've only had time for a very small amount of crafting so nothing on the Stampin'Up! side to show....well not yet anyway. There will be a new challenge for Stamp With Us on Sunday so I've done my duty and I'll show you then what I've made. Anyway a post without some eye candy is pretty boring so I'll show you a scrapbook page I made last week at my local crop. Shock horror it's a double layout!! lol I don't do double and I don't usually scrap more than one photo on a page, so to have two 'don'ts' on one layout is pretty amazing. The pics were taken while we were on the Isle of Wight the other week. I asked Jake to pose for the camera and I got these....what a show off eh?!?!..he hee. Tfl and see you Sunday for my DT entry. Have a good one. Jo :)

Fresh Cuts

Over the week I've been slowly completing this little project - a cute tote and four matching thank you notes using the Fresh Cuts Stamp set and notelets. Isn't it cute? It's a great little gift too and I'll be doing classes very soon to make it. If you live near to Wimborne and would like to come along, I shall be confirming dates in the next week for classes to start the end of May, please pop back soon and I'll have the details listed on my sidebar. I'm off to another all day crop tomorrow and I've just found out the lady that runs it had a birthday yesterday. I'm going to give her this as a belated birthday pressie - hope she likes... So, it's Friday, the start of a long weekend with the Bank Holiday on Monday...yipppeeee! Not only am I happy about the weekend but I have some more exciting news too - well for me anyway. I've been chosen as one of the Design Team members for Stamp With Us !!! Yaaay! Along with six other very talented ladies... Steph, Bekka, Kate, Kim, Sara, and Jules. Every Sunday there is a new challenge posted alternating between, theme, colour and Recipe. This week it's recipe, which reminds me I haven't done one yet..oops! lol I'm so chuffed to have been picked and I'm glad it wasn't me choosing, all the entries were fab-u-lous! Congrats to my fellow teamies and please come over and join in the challenges. Mr Linky is there so it's dead easy to show us all your wonderful creations. Take care and have a good one! Jo ;)
